A little bit about me….
I’m Molly Eleanor, a Media and Communications student from Warwickshire with a deep passion for photography. I’m especially drawn to the stunning Cornish coastal landscapes and the beauty of pretty skies—there’s something magical about capturing those moments.
A fun fact about me is that my dad is Icelandic, making me half Icelandic! I take great pride in celebrating my Icelandic heritage and will use some photos from my brother’s wedding and visiting Reykjavik and the countryside in my blog and portfolio.
I am 20 years old, and have hobbies I love to do besides taking photos (sometimes).Nature inspires me; I find solace in long walks surrounded by people I love, which often influence my artistic vision. I am a proud mom to 3 fur babies, and also can’t resist a boogie to anything 70s disco!
In 2022 I first visited Portmellon, Cornwall; it’s safe to say I fell in love. Hence the inspiration for my Instagram page: @Portmellonpictures. This link will be attached below, and at the top of my page to the right.
Why Cornwall and the focus on landscape photography?
It began on my gap year, as I spent most of my time in Cornwall. Enjoying the coastal breeze and far stretched views, it was impossible not to pick up my camera- enhancing my experience in such a picturesque setting. Bold colours and unique textures usually impact the viewer within the initial impression, and I found this type of photography came naturally and even got me outdoors more. It’s great for anyones mental health! Thus, becoming less stressed, discovering new places and making profound memories.
