Future Focus show!

Having presented in the second episode of future focus, it was a great opportunity to expand my skill set for future graduate job prospects. As I want to potentially go into presenting , this allowed me to give it a go in a role I haven’t had the opportunity yet. Interviewing an industry professional , Emma Woods, as she works at ITV, was daunting but allowed me to control my emotions in this situation and remain professional. Myself and Daisy interviewed Emma with questions, about her role as senior producer at ITV, how she got to the role she’s in today and how she got into teaching along side these roles. All in all, it was a great experience, where I gained an insight into the systems involved in media production and the vast amount of roles to create a show.

Leon Emirali interview-

On the first show, I didn’t do the interview, however I worked apart of the behind the scenes team. this entailed me, creating content of the work that goes on behind the scenes. Also having the social media account for FutureFocus , I was able to contribute to the footage from the day. My aim was to create candid photography, and as a result I was able to produce some content where my colleagues and fellow classmates were happy and doing their role.

Special guest on ‘Share Sync’-

After starting my podcast, Esme my lecturer, invited us onto her podcast called Share Sync. Along with some first years too, we discusses topics involving taboo. Since talking about periods on our second episode of The Girls Girl Podcast, about how women are ashamed and feel as though they cant talk about this, it was of utmost importance to advocate for representation. Making it another topic of conversation on Share Sync! As a young woman in the media, who has faced issues with endometriosis , it was especially important to myself to represent these issues and talk about it to other women.
